Food packaging is made of many layers of plastic to keep your food fresh. Chip bags, coffee bags, and granola wrappers are found everywhere and almost impossible to dispose of sustainably... until now.

Why two categories?

Plastic film and plastic food packaging are made of different materials. Separating them allows them to be recycled into higher quality, more sustainable products.

How are they recycled?

We work with multiple partners, all as local as possible in the USA, prioritizing minimal waste over profits.

One of our partners--Trex--turns plastic film into new, high-quality decking that also reduces production of lumber from our forests.

Another partner--Hydroblox--manufactures drainage solutions using plastic food packaging, making use of plastic that would otherwise end up in a landfill.

What goes in your plastic film bag?

Stretchy and thin, plastic film is made of single layers of polyethylene (either #2 HDPE or #4 LDPE).
